At Kimberly Von Koontz Landscapes, we are expanding our team and seeking a Senior Landscape Architect/Designer. This role is ideal for someone experienced in managing complex landscape projects from concept to completion, with excellent design, technical and horticultural knowledge, advanced production tool skills, and a high level of creativity and attention to detail.

As a key team member, you'll need to be self-motivated, adaptable, and consistently deliver on project outcomes and deadlines. Whether working on high-end Tuscan landscapes, city terraces, or large properties in the Hamptons, anticipating challenges and providing effective solutions is key.

As part of our close-knit team, you'll help maintain timelines and ensure adherence. The Studio Manager monitors and presents project updates to stakeholders, clients, and team members, collaborating closely with our design team, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Overseeing 1 to 5 projects simultaneously, this role is integral to our team's success.


 Job Description:

- Project manage multifaceted garden and landscape projects, including client liaison, from concept design stage through to installation on site.

- Research hard and green materials for projects including visits to nurseries and the sourcing of samples.

- Production of design drawings and presentation packages.

- Attend project and site meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and collaborators.

- Production of CAD drawings; from schematics to detailing.

- Production of design documents such as photoshop visuals and aesthetic mood boards

- Assist in the coordination and management of projects from concept design stage through to installation on site

 

 

Essential Attributes:

 

- BA/MA in Landscape Architecture or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years or relevant experience within a landscape design studio.

- Proficient skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

- Production of presentation material.

- Capability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team.

- Proactive, precise, and efficient work ethic.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Fluency in English, any additional languages (Italian, Spanish, French) are a plus.

- Availability to work in person at our NYC office in the Finance District.

 

Salary

· $80,000 - $90,000

· Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

· Paid Time Off (PTO): You shall be eligible for 15 working days to use at your discretion, with exception to black-out periods March - June.

· Health Insurance available after 60days of employment
